«1.1 is a non-commercial platform for young and emerging practices in arts and in music, founded in 2015. Its curatorial concept emphasises fluidity and incorporates the possibility of change through re-evaluation.
Its usual output takes shape in periodic solo exhibitions at its exhibition space in Basel, in concerts in collaboration with various venues in- and outside of Switzerland and in other forms that take place more sporadically, such as screenings.

Within our own structures, we explore potential alternative possibilities in the processes of exhibition making, which bring with it an in-depth investigation into currently existing structures and their roots in the past.

We refuse to see 1.1 as an insular project, but rather try to take the current landscape of contemporary European art into considerations of decision-making and articulation.
